Zoom in on Moloka'i
This air view of Kalaupapa on the north shore of Molokai shows the very
steep, high cliffs and the peninsula that was formed by a relatively recent
volcanic eruption. The feature that looks like a tadpole is actually an old lava
channel that was formed by the vigorous eruption.
This is a view of some of the coral reefs along the southern shore of Molokai.
East Molokai has deeply eroded valleys. Because this mountain lies
windward (northeast) side of the island, it is often shrouded in clouds.
