SPACE CITY, MAUI

    Travel to the summit of East Maui Volcano,

and you enter a new world.  Stark vistas of the volcano

contrast with some very high-tech telescopes.  Operated by the

Air Force, several of these telescopes are used to track spacecraft
 
in Earth orbit or search for new Earth-crossing asteroids.  Fun!
