Stop 6: The Tree Tunnel
Just north of Po'ipu Beach, there's a road called Maluhia Road. Early this century, a developer was building his home and had over 500 eucalyptus trees left over (he must have thought that it was a big house!). After these trees were donated to the County, they were planted along the road, making one of the high points of the scenic drive from the airport to the popular tourist area at Po'ipu.
From here you can continue on to Stop 7 on the ground, or you can pick another point from the Kauai Virtual Field Trip page.
