Good Site of the September 1982 lava flow, taken only a few weeks after its eruption. The thickness of the flow seen here is ~30 cm. Note that the highly reflective surface has long since been eroded away. This flow appears as very dark on the radar images, including C-band data. Mauna Loa volcano is just visible in the background.
[From here you can continue on to Site 18 or you can pick another point from the Radar Tourpage.
