Stop 4: Lahaina
Not all of the trip around West Maui has to focus on the geology. At Lahaina, which was once the royal capitol of Hawaii and the former whaling center of the Pacific, you can spend many a happy hour enjoying all the tourist attractions.
View looking inland at the impression hills close to Lahaina.
The Lahaina Sugar Cane Railway is one of the few operational railways in Hawaii.
At Lahaina Harbor, there is a replica of a 19th century sailing ship that help make this part of Hawaii famous as a port and center of power within the Pacific.
From here you can continue on to Stop 5 on the ground, or you can pick another point from the Maui Virtual Field Trip page.
