If one travels to the northwest shore of Molokai, you can find a place called Moomomi Beach. There are some very large sand dunes here that climb right up the cliff side and stretch right the way across the peninsula (see also Aerial Location #1 ).

Also from Moomomi Beach, you can look almost directly to the east and see the profile of the small lava shield (arrowed) that now forms Kalaupapa Peninsula (see also Aerial location #2 ).
