Daring explorers can walk right to the edge of the giant sea cliffs on the north shore of Molokai, and peer out to the Kalaupapa Peninsula far below.

This is another picture of the giant cliffs on the north shore of Molokai.

The settlement of Kalaupapa, made famous by Father Damien, is located on the western side of the lava shield (the vent is arrowed).
