Nothing new was added in December.
November
November 15: We have now added the ability to progressively zoom
in on Oahu
with increasingly higher spatial resolution remote sensing
image data. There are now six islands for which we have
very high resolution aircraft data as part of our
Remote Image Navigator.
Stay tuned in the next couple of months as we add the last
two!
October
October 21: Added some photogrphs of a beautiful hike
out to
Kaena Point to the
Southwest Oahu Virtual Field Trip.
October 13: Cristina Lumpkin of the University of Hawaii
shares her adventure to
Kaho`olawe by creating a new Virtual Field Trip to this
remote island.
October 6: We have now added the ability to progressively zoom
in on Mau'i
with increasingly higher spatial resolution remote sensing
image data. There are now four islands for which we have

Remote Image Navigator.

September 8: Updated the
What's New at the Volcano page to include several
spectacular new photos of Pu`u O`o taken in August.

July 31: The
Aerial Photos of Kaho'olawe have been replaced with
two new ones and a new SAR image of Kaho'olawe has been added to
the Images from
Space: Maui and Kaho'olawe page.
July 29: We have now added the ability to progressively zoom
in on Moloka'i
with increasingly higher spatial resolution remote sensing
image data. In the months to come, we will be adding
very high resolution aircraft data for other islands to the
Remote Image Navigator.
July 19: Virtually Hawaii's primary server in Hawaii is
now a mirror server for the
German Space Agency X-SAR user kit , providing 14,000
images of the SIR-C/X-SAR missions on-line.

MARCH
March 25: We have now added the ability to progressively zoom
in on Lana'i with
increasingly higher spatial resolution remote sensing
image data. In the months to come, we will be adding
very high resolution aircraft data for other islands to the
Remote Image Navigator.
March 13: We are very excited to present our newly redsigned
Remote Image Navigator!
One of the main features of the new Navigator is a collection
of high spatial resolution SPOT satellite images covering
most of the islands of Hawaii.
March 13: A new feature of the
Remote Image Navigator
is the ability to progressively zoom in on an area with
increasingly higher spatial resolution remote sensing
image data. In the months to come, we will be adding
very high resolution aircraft data to the Navigator. So
far, we have developed a test section for
Ni'ihau.
March 11: We have completed the renovation of all the
virtual field trips.
The new Image Navigator should be on-line soon!
March 7: A second live
Manoa Valley video camera has been added. (This camera is no
longer active.)
FEBRUARY
February 10: We have begun the process of revamping the look and
