Nothing new was added in December.

November

November 15: We have now added the ability to progressively zoom in on Oahu with increasingly higher spatial resolution remote sensing image data. There are now six islands for which we have very high resolution aircraft data as part of our Remote Image Navigator. Stay tuned in the next couple of months as we add the last two!

October

October 21: Added some photogrphs of a beautiful hike out to Kaena Point to the Southwest Oahu Virtual Field Trip.

October 13: Cristina Lumpkin of the University of Hawaii shares her adventure to Kaho`olawe by creating a new Virtual Field Trip to this remote island.

October 6: We have now added the ability to progressively zoom in on Mau'i with increasingly higher spatial resolution remote sensing image data. There are now four islands for which we have very high resolution aircraft data as part of our Remote Image Navigator. Stay tuned in the next couple of months as we add the last three!

September

September 8: Updated the What's New at the Volcano page to include several spectacular new photos of Pu`u O`o taken in August.

March 25: We have now added the ability to progressively zoom in on Lana'i with increasingly higher spatial resolution remote sensing image data. In the months to come, we will be adding very high resolution aircraft data for other islands to the Remote Image Navigator.

March 13: We are very excited to present our newly redsigned Remote Image Navigator! One of the main features of the new Navigator is a collection of high spatial resolution SPOT satellite images covering most of the islands of Hawaii.

March 13: A new feature of the Remote Image Navigator is the ability to progressively zoom in on an area with increasingly higher spatial resolution remote sensing image data. In the months to come, we will be adding very high resolution aircraft data to the Navigator. So far, we have developed a test section for Ni'ihau.

March 11: We have completed the renovation of all the virtual field trips. The new Image Navigator should be on-line soon!
